About Coin Loop
Coin Loop takes away the one thing every other steering game gives you: the ability to go in a straight line. Your dot moves at a steady speed and is always curving. Leave it alone and it draws a neat circle for ever. Tap, and it starts curving the other way.
How it works
By switching between left and right turns you can weave anywhere in the arena. A teal coin is waiting somewhere inside the red walls. Touch it for a point and a new one appears elsewhere.
Each coin makes you a little faster, up to a limit. The turning rate stays the same, so as the speed rises your circles get wider, and the walls feel closer.
Playing it well
Learn the S-curve first. A turn one way followed by a matching turn the other way moves you sideways and leaves you facing the direction you started in. Two quick taps, evenly spaced, are the basic steering move.
To travel in a rough straight line, tap in a steady beat. The dot wiggles along a shallow zigzag. Faster taps make it straighter.
Do not chase a coin by the shortest path. Think about which way you will be curving when you arrive. Approaching a coin near a wall while turning towards that wall is the commonest way to lose.
Use the circle as a safe place. When you are unsure, stop tapping. The dot will loop where it is, and if you are well away from the walls nothing can go wrong.
Later, with wide circles, stay near the centre and reach out for coins.
Ten coins takes practice. It is an odd idea even among HTML5 games, and it clicks suddenly.
